Hey MC moms! So Brandy and Kari attended the first RFL captain meeting and came back with tons of info to share. Here it goes...
*Each team member needs to fill out a registration form. These have to be turned in ALL at once and no later than April 20th. So at our next MC meeting (Feb24) we will do this. Very simple very fast. You MUST be there!!!
*Online fundraising will be available to you AFTER registration forms are turned in.
*Corporate Sponsors: We can indeed have more than one sponser and their donation of ATLEAST $150 (preferably $250) will get their company name on RFL tshirts and recognition the night of the event. TeNeil's husband Justin has already agreed to sponsor but more are welcome. Our team name, Mom Connection, needs to be written on the sponsor brochure.
*Night of Relay Fundraiser: This will be a fundraiser we do the night of the event. We were able to turn in our idea of a "string of beads" (catchier name welcome) and it was accepted. So the night of the event we will be selling a string of beads for $5, one bead for each lap, special bead for each mile. Money raised will go to team total but will NOT take the place of our individual goals of $100.
*Basket Auction: On the night of the event RFL will host a basket auction. Each team is responsible for a basket. Ideas of past were, wheel barrow full of gardening supplies, "PINK" basket, "Movie Night" basket, ect. Our idea as mothers is a "MOTHERING" basket or "Baby" basket. The bigger the better. If we could get an old crib/bassinet (good shape) to fill with baby stuff (blankets, bottles, diapers, toys), parenting books (What to expect books), relaxation items (maybe mani-pedi gift certificate), the sky is the limit really.
*Individual fundraising ($100) should start now. When money comes in it should be turned into Kari asap. She will keep track of individual totals as well as team total. At the captain meeting Brandy and Kari set a goal of raising $300, so lets try to get $300 by March 23rd (this is optional, a way of getting teams motivated)
